ABOUT UCAF
Mission:
Awarding scholarships to qualified Upper Columbia Academy students year after year by developing partnerships with individuals, families and groups who desire to invest lasting financial support.
History
The history of the UCA Foundation is really quite simple. The thought of creating the Foundation began during an alumni weekend in 2003, when a group of friends were talking together about the need. After a few more meets discussing the details and planning, and the gift of some generous seed money, the Foundation was built with the simple idea of helping UCA students receive scholarships year after year.
- The Foundation is a 501(C)3 organization that began in 2003 and incorporated in 2004.
- Charitable alumni and friends of UCA help to fund scholarships for qualified students to attend UCA.
- Applications for UCA Foundation scholarships are received throughout the year, then evaluated and awarded in September during the start of the UCA school year.
- Each year, numerous students are awarded scholarships through the Foundation.
- The Foundation is committed to investing and administrating your charitable gifts to their maximum potential.
Objectives:
- To financially assist qualified student that wish to attend UCA.
- To build a vibrant community of like-minded, supporting and caring people who are passionate about helping students attend UCA.
- To adhere to an efficient and effective financial investment model, which is professionally managed for growth toward increased scholarship funds.
- To partner with UCA alumni, friends and family in creating innovative and lasting ways to financially help and award UCA students , year after year.
Not every qualified student desiring to attend UCA is financially able. Though its rewards are great, UCA is a costly education. More often than not, it can be quite a sacrifice and a steep budget . This is the reason the UCA Foundation was formed. Students are selected for UCAF Scholarships based upon either financial need or academic/music/godly character merits.
The Foundation has the capability to work with you, your financial advisor and/or legal counsel to help you maximize both your tax advantages and your impact on the lives of qualified young people both now and into the future.
