Jay Smith, a beloved 1985 alumnus and father of a current UCA student, was tragically killed in a boating accident on August 13, 2010. His family is requesting that donations may be made to the Upper Columbia Foundation in his memory.

Wayne Hooper Memorial Scholarship Endowment

Wayne Hooper was a long-time King's Heralds Quartet member, musician/composer/arranger/conductor. As an accomplished trombonist, he arranged many compositions for instruments, including brass ensembles. The Wayne Hooper Music Scholarship Fund will be used to assist students who display special talent in playing brass instruments and who enhance the outstanding music program at UCA.

Mr. Olin Peach was a beloved longtime UCA History teacher, mission trip coordinator, and Ski Club facilitator for over four decades. After retirement, he continued his deep commitment to UCA students by his leadership in mission trips. His family wishes to continue his legacy of profoundly impacting the future of students through this investment.

Eric Molstead Memorial Scholarship Endowment

Eric Molstead, a member of the Class of 1980, died in an airplane accident while returning from his 25th Class Reunion in 2005. The Eric Molstead Memorial Scholarship has been established in Eric’s memory to encourage and support young women interested in Math and Science careers.
